I bought these to replace the blown out speakers in my wifes Riviera. The day after I received these speakers, the car was totaled in an accident. When I received these speakers, however, I noticed that they were “Marine grade” speakers. Keep this in mind. Now I was also planning on putting additional speakers in my boat. So guess what? These Polk Audio speakers will be installed in my boat before spring time. Therefore, I’m keeping these speakers, I haven’t heard them yet. But they are POLK AUDIO, they are marine grade and they will fit in my boat. In the summer I can update this on how they sound.

Dam all that research and reviews paid off! im very picky and want quality sound, i was hesitate cus i nVr actually heard polk speakers sound just knew they were good by word of mouth, especially with wrangler owners sayin this was the one to get marine certified too was an extra bonus i guess. a jvc headunit 50wx4 = about 20watts rms is powering the 5-1/4 polk db’s in the front dash tho i hav the MTX speaker brackets which make it sound even better cus they direct the speaker upwards instead of down sounds AMAZING!!! i dnt hav nothing else NO special amp NO nothing and its better than i imagined polk is no joke! GR8 LOWS! idk wtf those other people were talkin about no bass no lows, for a small mofo this lil toy drops bass! mayb they didnt hav a hi powered headunit, then again my jvc has a built in 7eq which can adjust yur music to sound the way u want it! haha oh gosh i love my jvc its the shizznat! im gonna try JL for the soundbar i heard nothing but excellent reviews P.S F*** infinity! HAHA

pros: gr8 Lows/Bass, tweeter tilts, clean crisp highs no distortion marine certified best 4 lazy wrangler mofos like me who nvr put the top or doors on haha

I purchased these speakers for the purpose of installing them in a cooler for our river trip. The sound is amazing! They have pretty decent bass response for a 5.25″ and the highs are very crisp and clear. I just recently order 2 additional pairs for another cooler radio I am building for a buddy of mine. I enjoyed them that much.

I have these ran by only the head unit along w/ a pair of 4″ polk audio speakers and it has definitely bypassed my expectations. I would recommend these speakers to anyone wanting quality w/o having to shell out a lot of money. I almost bought a pair of boss 5.25″ used in previous years due to the cost effectiveness but these 2 speakers alone sound 500 times better than the boss and only a lil extra $$$. You get what you pay for and this is a steal of a deal for the sound and quality of music.

Good clean sound – not that efficient though. My Rockford Fosgates sound louder and as clean off the deck as these with 50 watts off an amplifier
