This stereo has one of the worst user interfaces I’ve ever come across in 25 years as a computer professional. Central joystick control everything. Sometimes a click is needed to go through items. Sometimes up/down. Sometimes a twist.
Three clicks and it go to the FUNCTION menu’s single item BSM and reprogram the stations list with the strongest 6. Guaranteed to clober the station list anytime it is used.
It was unable to read my rockbox mp3 player, probably because all the music is under a “music” folder and then organized four deep as GENRE/ARTIST/ALBUM/Song. Displayed idiotic ERROR 19. Couldn’t pioneer afford a hundreth of a penny to provide 1K for textual error messages?
CD MP3 player isn’t much better. Won’t display folder names. Replaces them with numbers based on when it traverses them.
No station name display. No song name display. murky display.
Guaranteed to cause an accident if you don’t pull off the road when you need to change audio settings.

I’ve owned Pioneers all my life and let me say for the money you spend on the radio it pays for itself. Great features and beautiful display. Also plays with my Blackberry which is awesome!!

Pros:
Sounds awesome!
USB works perfect with my 1 GB flash drive and tons of mp3 files. No more scratched CDs!
Easy install.
Nice remote included.
Lots of useful features for the price.
Good radio reception.
Cons:
Screen flashes every ten seconds, this is especially distracting at night. (But you can turn off the display.)
The main knob that controls almost everything is kind of touchy. It’s very easy the push the wrong way. I end up using the remote most of the time to make sure I press the right button.
No pause or mute button on the deck. Again keep the remote handy.
This thing is way more complicated to set up than my two previous Pioneer decks. Don’t lose the manual!
Overall a good deck, with lots of good features, but unless you NEED the crazy display and front USB port I recommend you save a few bucks and step down to the 4100 model.

Well,
I paid a price I was willing to pay, for a product that I desired. So there isn’t much to adulate. A glittery review from me will not result in any discounts or thank you’s from the seller. That being said, they had the lowest price for this model (shipping included was still cheaper than any “major” retailer) and it came with everything it was advertised with (which it should). The item worked as soon as I installed it (of course there was an after market wiring harness and mounting harness that had to be purchased extra) and offers great reception and clarity; which is a testament to the product, not so much the seller.
To the seller’s credit, they sold a fine product at an unbeatable price and their “basic” shipping saw me receive the product in under 5 BUSINESS DAYS! As long as they continue to offer quality name brand items at the lowest possible price, they will continue to receive my business.
Thank you
