My OEM Chevy Suburban sub speaker dry rotted and I bought this for a replacement. Unexpectedly Chevrolet had made a custom size OEM speaker. The chevy speaker is rated at 2ohms, the mounting points protrude beyond the standard 8″ speaker size and they are slim in depth. I had to mod the sub box to make the speaker fit and the legacy speaker is rated at 4ohms. The speaker works but is not as loud to the ohm’s change. Its not Legacys fault its chevy way of making go back to the dealer for parts. You can order the OEM speaker from chevrolet for a hefty price of $150.

Purchased as a replacement for a 2000 Avalon. Don’t expect the same sound as the original JBL and you should be satisfied. Sounds underpowered, well because it is. But for <$20 including shipping I don’t really think you can beat it. I will probably end up repairing the original, but this gives me plenty of time to procrastinate. Just make sure to take the time to desolder and resolder the leads rather than trying to splice them, unless you want to lose more power.

Economical replacement for the rear speaker in a 2002 Toyota Avalon. It may not have as much punch as the factory JBL but at this price how could you complain.

Excellent replacement for my original Toyota Avalon rear subwoofer. Replacement cost from Toyota for the original JBL sub is $271.00+.

This sub cost $9.00 and works perfectly! Highly recommend!
