I purchased this to put in my work truck. After installation it worked fine for a few days then the large display went out. It comes back for a little bit then dissappears again. The USB and SD card slots are great and they play excellent. If you are buying this for that function then you will be pleased. The tuner is very antiquated and at times expecially with a missing display hard to tune in a radio station.

I was hoping the USB plug in this machine would connect with an iPod. It won’t. It might if you put it in HD mode and put the audio files in the disk. But the USB port was designed for plugging in a usb drive, much like the SD port.
It does not have digital tuning nor a way to secure radio channels, however, it does have good reception.
I like the minimal styling. But I will probably replace this with something that has an AUX port.
But at 80Watts per channel, it’s WAY louder than my Dual 30watt deck.

Pros:
* great quality sound for mp3s
* stylish old school simplicity
* enormous clock display with vibrant blue back light
Cons:
* poor AM/FM reception, but i just put a few RF chokes on the wires and now virtually static free
* mp3 navigation is blinded, it just plays through the list as they are loaded in the memory card or usb drive
* when listening to mp3s it will sometimes skip to next track halfway though songs
* there are no balance/fade/equalizer tuning options
* clock appears to reset occassionally
Overall:
* fantasic radio for the price

If your up to date with technology and there’s no need for a cd player, then this is the solution. No more scratched cds, just simply plug your usb, or sd and your ready. It’s cheap and easy to use. I use this for my work truck so all i have to do is upload my music to my device and thats it.
